Hello 2017 :)

First post of 2017, approaching the end of January... already?!!?

January has gone too fast. Big things happened, in a good way... and I am more than grateful to have what I have today.

Last Christmas holiday, I had butterflies everywhere. As the temperature dropped in London, so did my immune system. Sick, nausea, feverish, flu, diarrhoea oh you name it all. At the time when I couldn't afford to be sick they all came, and submission was just a week away!

But come 2017, miracle happened. I actually had my thesis submitted a day earlier than expected, I couldn't believe it myself! Oh yes guys, it happened... I did it! Submitted my PhD thesis for examination on January 5, just one more final step (thesis defense = viva) then I am done ✅

I would say the past 3 months were the most emotional part of my PhD. I was stressed a bit (followed by panic attack later) but mostly it was a mixture of happiness and excitement. Oh and happy tears! From "how I wish Dad was here to be my number one cheerleader" to "how I wish Mom was here because she cooked the best food my comfort food". Above all, it was the thoughts that I was one step closer to achieving my biggest dream that made me feel excited every single time. A dream that started 15 years ago...

How old can a dream be?

It can get ill you know. It can die too.

And only you can make it stay alive. No one else could. Have faith! :)

P/S: I've been 'missing' from social media for 3 months now and people are asking when I'm gonna come back (to social media) again. I genuinely don't know but I kinda like myself better without social media. BUT EVERYONE'S ON IT AND I'M MISSING OUT ON IMPORTANT LIFE EVENTS. Boy, what do I do now? Think. Think. Think. Oh let's do some shopping first!

Catcha later xx
